YEHUDAH BROWN was born in Southern Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. He completed high school in Israel and then graduated with a BA in law from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. There he met and married the love of his life, Reeva, and together they raised 5 children. They have lived in South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, and now reside in the Judean Hills just outside Jerusalem, Israel. Rabbi Yehudah Brown was ordained as an Orthodox Rabbi in 1991 by the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem and several other prominent rabbis from around the world. Along with his wife and children, they have served Jewish communities in South Africa, New Zealand, Melbourne, and Perth. In Melbourne, Rabbi Brown was the Rabbinical Coordinator for the Conversion Programme at the Melbourne Beth Din. SICARII, A STORY OF DUPLICITY AND BETRAYAL, is his debut novel. It provides an accurate, well-researched account of the First Roman-Jewish War in the first century CE. The destruction of the Second Temple and the events leading up to the most catastrophic moment in Jewish history until the modern Holocaust of the 20th century, highlight the stresses, emotions, and politics of the era. This pattern has recurred throughout Jewish history, and even today in modern Israel, conflicts between opposing groups and their philosophies threaten to tear apart Israeli society. Similar to the way history records the lead-up to the 2000-year diaspora of the Jewish people from their ancestral homeland. SICARII is a fascinating and comprehensive insight into this period – an essential read for history enthusiasts. Rabbi Yehudah Brown's second story is part of a trilogy of novels called KISHINEV THREADS. The first book is named ECHOES AND PROMISES, followed by the second novel in the series, LEGACY OF HOPE, and finally UNBROKEN CHAIN. The story begins with the horrific pogrom in Kishinev in 1903 and traces the journey of the Gans family over the next century. The quest to reconnect as a family and renew their bonds follows them on an epic journey around the world, searching for one another. They face challenges and experience the worst that humanity has to offer during the turbulent and brutal 20th century. These epic novels are essential for anyone seeking insight into the Jewish journey of the 20th century, the founding of the State of Israel, and the intrigue involved, as well as the ingathering of exiles back to their ancestral homeland after 2000 years. KISHINEV THREADS is a must-read. Rabbi Yehudah Browns' fifth book is titled DIVINE THREADS. It offers an insight into one of the greatest paradoxes: the conflict between the theology of Free Will and Divine Providence. Rabbi Brown employs his full talent to explore the issue, referencing sacred texts and Rabbinical writings from across the ages, including contemporary thought. DIVINE DESIGN is not a novel but a rabbinical exposé. For those interested in the most profound philosophical debate of all time, this is essential reading. Rabbi Yehudah Brown does not impose his conclusions on his readers but openly shares his personal reflections. DIVINE DESIGN is well-equipped with detailed footnotes and sources, educational content, and thought-provoking material that will keep students pondering the paradox for quite some time. If you wish to embark on an intellectual journey that will significantly influence your perspective on the DIVINE DESIGN, order your copy today. Rabbi and Rebbitzen Brown live close to their children and their 10 grandchildren - their greatest naches.
